Content Quality
All practice questions are carefully designed to align with the official AAMC MCAT content outline, organized around the 10 Foundational Concepts and 31 content categories. Questions cover the full range of tested disciplines with a mix of recall and application- and reasoning-based items, mirroring the passage-driven style of the real exam.
Content is regularly reviewed and updated to reflect the latest AAMC guidance. Our question bank draws on the disciplines tested on the MCAT — biology, biochemistry, general and organic chemistry, physics, psychology, sociology, and critical analysis and reasoning — ensuring that every question is relevant to what students encounter on test day.
What We Offer
MCAT Prep provides a comprehensive suite of free tools for MCAT preparation. Our platform includes thousands of practice questions across all four sections — Bio/Biochem, Chem/Phys, Psych/Soc, and CARS — all organized by Foundational Concept and content category for targeted study. Students can also take full-length practice tests that simulate the actual ~7.5-hour exam environment, work through passage-based question sets, and use our score estimator to gauge where they stand on the 472-528 scale.
We cover all 10 AAMC Foundational Concepts and the 31 content categories spanning biology, biochemistry, general and organic chemistry, physics, psychology, sociology, and CARS reasoning skills. Every question comes with a detailed explanation to help students understand the underlying concepts, not just memorize answers. Our blog features study guides, content breakdowns, registration walkthroughs, and scoring strategies to support students at every stage of their MCAT journey.
Who We Are
MCAT Prep was created by students who went through the MCAT preparation process themselves and understood how difficult it can be to find reliable, well-organized study material without spending money on expensive prep courses. We are a small, dedicated team committed to making quality MCAT preparation accessible to every pre-med student — especially those who may not have access to costly commercial prep programs.
Our platform is built and maintained with a simple goal: to level the playing field so that every medical school aspirant has an equal chance to succeed on the MCAT, regardless of their financial background. We continuously add new questions, update our content to match the latest AAMC guidance, and improve our tools based on student feedback.
